Let's first learn about the IGBT modules. IGBT is an insulated gate bipolar transistor, which is a composite fully controlled voltage driven power semiconductor device composed of MOS (insulated gate field-effect transistor) and BJT (bipolar transistor). It has both the high input impedance of MOSFET and the low conduction voltage drop of GTR, which can achieve low driving power and reduced saturation voltage. Therefore, it is widely used in fields with DC voltage of 600V and above.



What are the advantages of using IGBT modules in induction power supplies? Specifically, as follows:

- The IGBT module can automatically turn off the combination pipe fittings of high-power transistors and MOS tubes without the need for external circuit intervention, so the equipment is stable and reliable. Even in the event of furnace penetration, grounding, or water cooling cable burning, the IGBT module is not easily damaged.
- The IGBT module does not require an empty core inductor, which means there are no current commutation burrs on the inductor, making it less prone to breakdown and ignition between turns of the inductor, which can extend the service life of the furnace lining.
- The intermediate frequency of IGBT adopts frequency modulation and power regulation, and the rectification part adopts full bridge rectification, inductor and capacitor filtering, and operates continuously at 500V. Therefore, the intermediate frequency of IGBT generates small high-order harmonics, which causes low pollution to the power grid.
- The energy-saving IGBT transistor intermediate frequency power supply adopts a semi controllable rectification method, and the rectification part does not adjust the thyristor conduction angle, so the power factor throughout the entire working process is always greater than 0.98, with no power loss.
